2017 Prince Hall Day Weekend

The Jurisdiction of Georgia celebrated Prince Hall Day weekend this year on October 19-21, 2017 in Valdosta, GA. It was hosted by Waycross District #8, Valdosta District #9, and Thomasville District #10. Prince Hall Day honors our organization’s founder, Prince Hall, who was a founding member of African Lodge #1. Events over the weekend included bowling, a lip sync challenge at the 80s/90s party between the Grand Master and the Grand Matron, the George Brown Annual Walk, a Cuban-themed party, and the very first Bible Bowl. Prince Hall Day weekend was capped with the Prince Hall Day service on Sunday, where the Prince Hall Grand Chapter inducted its first Hall of Fame honorees—Sis Annie Chaney, Sis Lucile Clark, and Sis Ruth Stevenson.
